Custom Fit to You

Your Sidekick is custom built to fit you. Components like the shin lever ("shlever") and calf strap come in different sizes, so we use your height and calf circumference to build a system made specifically for your body, ready to wear right out of the box.

To measure your calf: sit with your foot flat and calf relaxed, then wrap a tailor's tape (or string against a ruler) around the widest part — snug, not tight. Round to the nearest half inch.

Universally Designed

The entire Sidekick system is unisex, including the Sidekick-compatible shoes that come in your Starter Pack. The shoes are engineered with a carbon fiber plate in the sole and designed to fit like a standard sneaker.

With a 30-day no-questions-asked return policy, you can try your Sidekick at home and in your everyday activities to make sure it's the right fit for you.

Sizing tip: if you have wider feet, we recommend sizing up.

Getting Started

How to Put on Your Sidekick

Lace Up & Attach

Slip on and lace up your compatible shoes, then attach the Sidekick to your shoes by engaging the magnet on the Quick Connect. Rock the Sidekick forward until you hear and feel it lock into place on each shoe. Finish by securing the calf strap around your leg.

Insert & Power On

Pop in the charged batteries and hold the battery button down to turn your Sidekick on. Stand still until you feel a gentle squeeze on both shins.

Train & Enjoy Movement

Walk naturally in a straight line for about 20 strides across flat ground. Your Sidekick system will learn your rhythm—and from there, enjoy comfortable, powered movement that adapts to you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Returns for a full refund are accepted within 30 days of shipment. If you have tried out the Sidekick and it is not for you just send back your entire system, even if you have used it. We ask that items be sent back in their original packaging. Once your return is received, Dephy will issue a refund to your original payment method. Please refer to our complete Return Policy for additional information.

Your Sidekick system and included components (body, shlever, calf straps, shin pads, and batteries) are covered by a one-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Please see our full Warranty Policy for more details.

The Sidekick system is not a medical device. It's a mobility companion designed to help you feel good moving again, supporting everyday activity and confidence. As a wellness product, some users may be able to obtain medical approval and pay with HSA/FSA funds.

Your Sidekick system batteries are expected to last up to 5 miles at full charge on Power Level II. Walking at Power Level I may allow for longer distances. At higher power, expect closer to 3 miles. If you have additional questions on battery life, please reach out to support@dephy.com.

Absolutely! The Sidekick system is the perfect travel companion. Some of our early customers have taken their devices to Italy, France, Disney World, and on a cruise! As the Sidekick system is powered by lithium polymer (LiPo) batteries, you will need to follow standard airline regulations for LiPo battery transportation. Make sure to carry them in your hand luggage when flying so your Sidekick is ready to go wherever you are.
